The "Identity" block gathers a vessel’s unique identifiers — IMO number, MMSI, call sign and flag.
What you see
- IMO — the permanent vessel number, never changes.
- MMSI — the AIS identifier.
- Call sign and the flag state.
- Former names and flag changes, if any.
Why it helps
- Searching by IMO is more reliable than by name.
- Name and flag changes are a prompt for a careful counterparty check.
IMO is the master key: registries and lists are matched by it.
