The shipowner report is a PDF carrying a check date that covers a company end to end: the fleet under its control, sanctions screening of the company itself, of its vessels and of the companies linked to it, inspections and detentions per vessel, the history of departed vessels, and where the fleet actually trades. It arrives by email and stays in your account.
The report is built from data we already hold, so it arrives at once — usually within seconds.
How the report differs from the company page
The company page shows some of this for free and some behind a plan. The report differs in three ways:
- A check date in the header. The document fixes the moment the data was reconciled. The page is live and keeps changing; in a dispute it is the fixed state that matters.
- Completeness. Every section of every access level at once, whatever plan you are on: you paid for the document, not for a view of the page.
- Form. One file for the deal folder — the kind you forward to a counterparty, a lawyer or a bank.
What the document contains
- Company profile — legal name, registration number (company IMO), country, address, registry roles, and how many vessels the company has held over its whole history.
- Fleet under control — every vessel with IMO, type, deadweight, year built, flag, sanctions status, the company's role and the date it took it.
- Compliance and sanctions — whether the company itself is listed, how many of its vessels and how many linked companies appear on sanctions lists, inspections and detentions over 36 months.
- Vessels on sanctions lists — which vessel is on which lists, and since when the record is in our data.
- Affiliated companies — with their own fleets, the sanctions status of each, and a verdict on the shape of the network: a holding of single-vessel companies, a network of working operators, or a mix.
- Departed vessels and where they went — one table: when the hull was taken on, when it was let go, and who runs it now.
- Fleet dynamics — vessels taken on and let go per year, with a verdict: growing, shrinking or steady.
- Inspections and detentions by vessel — how many inspections each hull has had, how many detentions, when it was last checked.
- Detentions: where and when — date, port and authority for each detention.
- Where the fleet trades — the ports with the most calls and the routes it repeats, with the observation period stated.
What the order card shows
Above the order button sits the table of contents of the future document with real numbers for this company: vessels under control, affiliated companies and how many of them are on sanctions lists, inspections and detentions, departed vessels. The numbers are computed from the same data the document itself is built from, so they always match it. The line "Company sanctions: no matches" is a check result, not missing data.
See a sample before buying
A link to a sample report sits under the order button. The company, vessels, IMO numbers, dates and ports in it are fictional and refer to no real shipowner; the structure is the same as in a real report, including empty sections and disclaimers.
How to order
The order is available from two places: the company page and the vessel page.
- Open the company page and press the order button in the right-hand column. On a vessel page a compact "Shipowner report" row sits inside the ownership-chain card with a sanctions or detentions warning when there is one: press it and the table of contents with the order button unfolds. When several companies run the vessel — registered owner, ISM manager, ship manager — switch to the one you need.
- Give the email address the document should go to. No prior sign-up is needed — the purchase creates the account.
- Pay. The document arrives by email and appears in your account under orders.
If you are signed in and buy the same document again within 24 hours of the purchase, the order you already have opens instead of checkout — no second payment. If you need a fresh version sooner, contact support.

Is the report included in a plan
PRO does not include it. ENTERPRISE includes one report a month at no charge, and only the account owner can take it; a team member buys it. The report has its own monthly allowance — vessel dossiers do not consume it.
How to read the document
The report presents verifiable facts with dates — the conclusion about the company is yours. A link between companies in the document always means a shared vessel in the registry, never a matching name or address. The data coverage of each section is stated in the document itself.
If the document does not arrive
Check your spam folder, then open the orders section in your account — the file is there too. If the order is visible but the file is not, contact support with the order id from the email.
