Terms of Use

Version dated 21 October 2026Provided by RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO

1. About these Terms

Rynda (rynda.io) is an online information service for the maritime industry: boards where users publish cargo and vessel listings, and information about vessels, ports and companies. Its international version is operated by RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO, registration number DMCC203729, licence number DMCC-1001472, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Free Zone, registered address Unit RET-R5-172, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. “We”, “us” and “our” mean RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO. “You” means the individual or company that uses the platform.

You accept these Terms in full when you register: you press the button in the registration form next to the statement that pressing it means you accept them. You accept the terms of a paid service by paying for it, including when you buy a report without registering. These Terms apply if you accepted them at registration or at checkout, including when you pay in US dollars for an account first registered on another language version of the platform. They continue until they end under section 14.

Definitions

  • Platform: the international version of the rynda.io website, its account area and services, the platform's bot in Telegram, the Rynda app in ChatGPT, and our emails and notifications.
  • Organisation: the My Fleet workspace created when a subscription or free trial starts. The subscription, seats, team members and report bundles belong to it.
  • Business user: a company, a sole trader or an individual who uses the platform for their trade, business or profession.
  • Consumer: an individual who buys a paid service for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.
  • Sanctions: economic, financial and trade sanctions, embargoes and other restrictive measures, including lists of designated persons and vessels, adopted by the United Nations Security Council, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom or any other country whose laws apply to you, the deal or us.

If you act for a company or another legal entity, that entity is the party to these Terms and you are its representative. The platform is designed for professional work in the maritime industry. A company account is used on behalf of the company, which is then the party to these Terms and a business user.

Related documents

The Platform Rules, Payments and Refunds and Report Purchase Terms form part of these Terms, and the definitions above apply in them. The AIS Station Network Terms of Participation also form part of these Terms: they cover sharing AIS lines from your own receiver and the station reward, and you accept them with a separate tick box when you connect a station. Each governs its own subject in detail and prevails over these Terms on that subject. Our liability, governing law and disputes are governed only by these Terms. A separate written agreement with us, for example for the COMMERCIAL plan, prevails on the matters it covers.

The Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. Accepting these Terms is not consent to processing. See also International Data Transfers. Marketing emails need separate optional consent (Consent to Marketing Emails).

The Cookie Policy explains our cookies and analytics. Analytics runs only with your consent, which is optional and separate from these Terms: the checkbox at registration, the cookie banner or Cookie Settings. Accepting these Terms is not consent to analytics. You can change your choice with the “Cookie Settings” button at the bottom of the page or with this link: open cookie settings.

Other Rynda services offered on separate websites are governed by their own terms. Visitors without an account may browse the open pages of the platform, and sections 5, 9 and 10 apply to them too. Before vessel, port, company and notice pages open, the website may check the browser. The check page says that by continuing, the visitor accepts these Terms, including the ban on automated data collection, and in some cases the visitor accepts them with the "Accept and continue" button. A visitor who continues after the check accepts sections 5, 9 and 10.

The Rynda app in ChatGPT is used without an account, and sections 5, 9 and 10 apply to its users too. The answer in ChatGPT is written by the OpenAI model from the information the app returns: we are responsible for that information as for information on the website (section 5), but not for how the model restates it or for how ChatGPT works. ChatGPT is provided under OpenAI's own terms.

2. What the platform provides

  • Listing boards: the Cargo and Vessels boards, where users publish listings and find each other's listings; messages through the “Contact” button and confirmation with the “Agreed” button. Posting listings and messaging are free.
  • Information services: a live vessel map based on AIS data from third-party sources; vessel, port and company pages; navigational warnings, notices to mariners, weather, ice and other map layers; cargo suggestions for a vessel (“Cargo nearby”) and open tonnage estimates; news, a blog and a knowledge base.
  • My Fleet: vessel tracking, alerts by email, in your account and in Telegram, map areas, notes, position history and team work.
  • Reports: “Vessel dossier”, “Inspection report” (port State control), “Vessel history”, “Shipowner report”, “Port call sheet”, “Vessel check sheet”, “Vessel track for a period”, “Voyage shortlist” and report bundles.
  • Tools: calculators, AI features (section 6), the platform's bot in Telegram, delivery of new listings from a board subscription to the user's own system by webhook from the PRO plan, instantly, hourly or at an interval the user chooses, and an API and fleet webhooks under the COMMERCIAL plan by separate agreement.
  • Rynda app in ChatGPT: reference information about vessels and ports, sanctions screening of a vessel, sea route distances and unit conversion in a ChatGPT chat, without signing in. The app does not show vessel ownership.
  • Custom development (Rynda Tech): the Rynda Tech section describes custom software, app and AI development. Its descriptions are not an offer, and an enquiry sent from it does not create a contract. Any work is done only under a separate written contract that sets its scope, timing, price and rights in the result. These Terms do not govern that work.

We are not a party to deals between users: we show listings and information and pass on messages. We are not a carrier, freight forwarder, shipowner, charterer, broker, agent or guarantor. We do not negotiate or sign contracts for users, do not accept freight or other payments under their deals and do not check how the deals are performed. Users conclude, pay for and perform their deals themselves, outside the platform, and are responsible to each other under them. We charge no commission on deals between users, and none of our fees depends on whether a deal is concluded or on its value. A broker's commission shown in a listing is the broker's own term. Some services are provided only under a separate written agreement.

Changes to the platform: we may add, change and remove features and change access to free features. We do not reduce a paid plan during a period you have paid for. If the law or a provider's withdrawal forces us to remove a paid feature, we offer an equivalent replacement or, if there is none, a proportionate refund for the remaining period. If you are a consumer and the change affects your use of a paid service more than minimally, you may instead end the subscription within 30 days and receive a refund for the unused period.

3. Eligibility, registration and account security

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you use a company account, you confirm that you are authorised to act for the company. We may rely on authority that is apparent from the circumstances and ask for proof of it at any time. If you have no authority, you are personally bound by these Terms.

Give accurate registration details and keep them up to date. Do not register for another person or company without authority and do not create additional accounts to get around limits, restrictions or a block.

Sanctions: you confirm that neither you nor the company you act for, nor anyone who owns or controls it, is designated under sanctions or is owned or controlled by a designated person, and that you do not use the platform on behalf of or for the benefit of such a person. Tell us at once at info@rynda.io if this changes. We may ask you for information and documents to confirm this, including about who owns or controls your company. If you do not provide them within a reasonable time, we may take the sanctions measures in section 9.

Your email address is confirmed with a code valid for 30 minutes. If you buy a report without registering, we create an account for the email address you gave at payment, and you sign in with a code or a link from an email. An account has one active session at a time: signing in on another device or browser ends the previous session. Accounts and team seats are personal and may not be transferred, sold, lent or shared between two people.

Keep your password and sign-in codes secret. Our staff never ask for them. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and write to support@rynda.io. We may restrict access to an account that appears compromised while we investigate. For business users, actions taken after a sign-in with your password, a code or an email link are treated as yours until you tell us about unauthorised access. A business user is responsible for the people it gives access to its account or organisation.

Company verification: upload company documents in your account under Account → Company. A member of our staff decides, usually within one working day, and approved companies get the “Verified” mark. Verification only confirms that the documents matched your company details on that date. It does not confirm good faith, solvency, anyone's authority or the performance of deals. We may refuse verification or remove the mark if the documents do not support the details, are no longer valid or raise reasonable doubts.

4. Listings, messages and agreements

Any signed-in user can post a listing. Broker listings can be posted by Broker and Forwarder accounts. A listing must concern a real cargo or vessel that you are entitled to offer, yourself or on someone's instructions. The Platform Rules set out what a listing must contain and how long it is shown.

  • Review: moderators review new and edited listings before they are shown. We may publish a listing, return it for correction or reject it with a reason. No review time is promised (Platform Rules, section 6).
  • Visibility: published listings are visible to all visitors, including in translation on other language versions of the platform (section 6). Contact details in the text are hidden automatically, but masking can miss some (Platform Rules, section 4). An archived listing may stay available by direct link, closed to search engine indexing, and a broker listing stops opening once archived (Platform Rules, section 7).
  • Ranking: newer listings come first by default. Only we can pin listings at the top of a board. Pinning and promotion are not sold; if we introduce paid listing services, section 8 applies. The main parameters that determine ranking are in Platform Rules, section 8.
  • Messages: messages with contact details, links or names of messengers or companies are not sent. New accounts have a limit on new conversations (Platform Rules, section 9).
  • “Agreed”: email addresses and phone numbers stay hidden until both sides press “Agreed” or the other party shows their contact details (Platform Rules, section 10). Pressing “Agreed” only means agreeing to exchange contact details. It is not a contract, an offer or an acceptance and creates no obligations between users or towards us. The parties agree and document their deal themselves.
  • Brokers: brokers and forwarders act on their principal's instructions and state their commission in the listing. Emails sent to broker@rynda.io are parsed by AI, and their original text is kept for moderation (Platform Rules, section 11). Post information about other people only where you have the right to (Platform Rules, section 12).

What you confirm with each listing: each time you post a listing, you confirm that:

  • you may offer the cargo or vessel, yourself or on instructions;
  • the listing is accurate: any name, IMO number and flag given to identify the vessel are its real and current ones, and the listing does not present one vessel as another or misstate the cargo, its origin or who owns or controls the vessel or cargo;
  • the listing and the deal it proposes comply with the laws that apply to you, your counterparty, the vessel, the cargo, the deal or us, including sanctions, export control, customs and currency laws, and you have or will obtain the permits and licences the deal needs before it is performed.

If any of this stops being true, for example because a vessel or cargo becomes subject to sanctions, take the listing down or correct it at once. We do not check these statements and rely on them.

We do not check counterparties, guarantee that deals will be performed or resolve disputes between users (Platform Rules, section 15). You are responsible for checking your counterparty, the vessel and the cargo, including identity, authority and licences, the vessel's ownership and history, the cargo's origin and their sanctions status, and for the tax, customs, currency, licensing and sanctions requirements of your deal. Conversations on the platform are not a record of a deal: put agreed terms in a contract and keep your own copies of negotiations and documents. Before paying in advance or signing a contract, read the Safe Trading Notice. To report a listing or a user, write to support@rynda.io with a link to it or use the support button on the site (how we handle reports).

5. Information services and data

Information services, including vessel, port and company data, reports, screening results and calculations, are for reference only. We take reasonable care to show information as received from our sources at the time it is shown, but we do not promise that the sources themselves are complete, accurate or up to date.

  • AIS data from third-party sources can be delayed, interrupted, incomplete or wrong, including because of signal spoofing. Not all vessels transmit. We may hide or limit data for some vessels.
  • Not for navigation: platform information is not intended for navigation, collision avoidance or the safety of life at sea. Check official notices. In distress, use the established channels and means of communication.
  • Sanctions screening on the map, vessel and company pages, in reports and for watched vessels looks for matches between the IMO numbers of a vessel and its related companies and the lists available to us on the date of the check. It does not find people or vessels whose links are not shown in our sources, and it does not reflect later changes, such as a new designation or a change of name, flag or owner. It does not replace a legal assessment of a deal or your own checks of the counterparty, vessel and cargo. The absence of a match or a mark does not mean that a deal is permitted.
  • Company and owner information from registers and public sources is shown as published there and may be incomplete or out of date.
  • Derived information: port calls, voyages, estimated times of arrival, laden or ballast status, ownership and management links, fleet lists and similar information are produced automatically from incomplete data and may be wrong or missing. The absence of information, for example about an inspection, detention, sanction or incident, does not mean that it did not happen.
  • Calculators and suggestions: calculations are estimates. “Cargo nearby”, open tonnage estimates, similar listings and the “Who sails this route” list are rule-based suggestions, not a promise that a cargo or vessel is available. The company shown in “Who sails this route” is the vessel's manager in the registries, not necessarily the voyage charterer.
  • Alerts and marks on watched vessels, including about sanctions, inspections and detentions, are an auxiliary feature. Their delivery and completeness depend on incoming data and third-party services and are not guaranteed.

No professional advice: nothing on the platform, including reports, screening results, calculations and AI output, is legal, tax, insurance, financial, chartering, navigational or other professional advice, or a recommendation to enter into or refuse a deal.

Changes to information: we may correct, update, supplement or remove information and change our sources without notice. We keep historical information available only as far as a paid plan or report describes.

You make your own decisions and should check important information against primary sources, such as vessel documents, registers and classification society data. Errors that are already in third-party sources are not a fault in our service. For business users, we are not responsible for decisions based on platform information. You can report an error to support@rynda.io, and we will correct it if we can.

6. AI features and machine translation

AI features fill in a listing from pasted text or an email, on the site and in the platform's bot in Telegram; parse broker emails; translate listings; write vessel summaries; and give suggestions in calculators and forms. They are performed by an AI model of a third-party provider. Text you submit is sent to the provider for processing, which may take place outside your country, including in the United States (Privacy Policy, section 7). Do not submit information you are not entitled to disclose.

AI output can be inaccurate: the model may get a port, date, quantity, rate or cargo type wrong. Check a listing before publishing it. By publishing it, you confirm its content and are responsible for it as for your own text. Vessel summaries and other AI texts are for reference only. News prepared with the help of AI is marked.

Listings are machine translated between the language versions of the platform when published and after each edit. On a listing's page, a translation is marked "Machine translation". Translations may be inaccurate. If a translation differs from the original, the author's original text prevails. We may limit the use of AI features, especially for visitors who are not signed in, and change the model provider.

7. My Fleet and team access

The My Fleet plans FREE, Personal, PRO and ENTERPRISE differ in their limits on vessels, fleets, map areas, seats, alert rules, emails, history depth and the monthly report quota, as shown on the pricing page. The COMMERCIAL plan is agreed separately.

When a subscription or free trial starts, an organisation is created, and the user who started it becomes the Owner. The subscription, seats, team members and report bundles belong to the organisation, and the report quota is counted per organisation. The fleet is kept in the Owner's account, and team members work with it within their role:

Whoever manages an organisation is responsible for who has access to it and for what team members do in it. Each seat is for one person. If an invited email address already has an account, the person joins the team at once and receives an email about it, with no separate confirmation. Otherwise, the invitation stays open until it is accepted or withdrawn. By inviting someone, you confirm that you may give them access and share their email address with us. A member who leaves or is removed loses access to the organisation's fleet and data.

When a subscription or trial ends or the plan is downgraded, the organisation moves to the FREE plan. Vessels above the limit are frozen, not deleted: they stay in the list without position, updates, alerts or history, while the most recently added vessels within the limit keep working. Frozen vessels work again once a suitable plan is paid for (renewal).

8. Paid services

Free: registration, listings, messaging, the FREE plan and open vessel, port and company pages within the limits for visitors. Paid: PRO and ENTERPRISE subscriptions for 1, 6 or 12 months, the Personal subscription for 1 month where it is offered to you, one-off reports, report bundles of 5 and 10 checks, and AI assistant question packs.

Paid listing services: if we introduce paid services for listings, such as paid placement, promotion on a board or showing contact details, we will publish their prices and terms on the pricing page and in the Platform Rules before they go on sale and mark listings promoted for payment. The fee for such a service is the price of our service of publishing and showing information. It is set in advance and does not depend on whether a deal follows, on the deal's value or on its performance. It is not a commission or a reward for a deal.

Prices are in US dollars. They are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, with any taxes or charges that apply. A service includes what its description says on the date of payment. Price changes do not affect periods already paid for. By paying, you accept these Terms, Payments and Refunds and, for reports, the Report Purchase Terms. You pay by card or another method offered at checkout, through our payment service providers. We do not receive or store your card details. A service starts once the payment is confirmed, and we email you a receipt.

Price errors: if a price at checkout is obviously wrong because of a technical or typing error, we may cancel the order and refund the payment in full, or offer you the service at the correct price.

Taxes and fees: prices include any tax we must charge. A business user accounts for any tax it must pay itself, such as VAT under the reverse charge. Fees charged by your own bank or card issuer, including for currency conversion, are not included in our price.

Suspected fraud: if we have reasonable grounds to believe that a payment was made without the cardholder's authority or is otherwise fraudulent, we may suspend the service and ask you to confirm the payment. If it is not confirmed, we cancel the order and return the payment to its source.

Free trial: the PRO trial lasts 7 days, needs no card and is available once per account. Nothing is charged when it ends (free trial).

No automatic renewal: payments in US dollars are one-off, and we make no repeat charges. To continue, pay for a new period. A new period of the same plan is added to the current one. We send reminder emails 7 days and 1 day before the period ends (renewal).

Cancellation and refunds:

  • business users: fees for a period that has started are not refunded;
  • consumers: your mandatory rights apply, including the 14-day right to cancel a subscription if you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom (how to cancel); if you asked us to start the service during the cancellation period, we refund the fee minus the part already provided;
  • reports: a report is delivered immediately after payment; at checkout you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that your right to cancel ends once the report is delivered, and our payment confirmation email repeats this;
  • everyone: mistaken and duplicate payments and fees for a service not provided through our fault are refunded in full.

Refunds are made within 10 days of your request, to the original payment method (refund rules, how refunds are made, reports and bundles). If something is wrong with a payment, contact us first. If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, we may suspend the paid features concerned until the dispute is resolved (chargebacks).

9. Acceptable use

Use the platform lawfully and for its purpose. You must not:

  • use the platform for unlawful purposes, or offer or arrange a deal that breaches sanctions or export control laws that apply to you, your counterparty or us, including a deal involving a person, vessel or cargo subject to such sanctions;
  • engage in or facilitate deceptive shipping practices, such as switching off or manipulating a vessel's AIS to conceal its identity, position or voyage, ship-to-ship transfers designed to hide a cargo's origin or destination, falsified vessel, cargo or origin documents, false flags or IMO numbers, or misrepresenting who owns or controls a vessel or cargo;
  • give false information about yourself, your company, a cargo, a vessel or your authority, post fictitious offers, or impersonate another person, a company or our staff;
  • send spam or messages unrelated to the listing, advertise unrelated services, or threaten or insult others;
  • get around the contact filter, for example by splitting contact details or putting them in words, images or links, or get around the limit on new conversations and other restrictions, including with additional accounts;
  • collect platform data by automated means: bots or scripts, opening vessel pages at machine pace, scraping the catalogue, copying pages in bulk, or getting around browser checks, view limits and other protective measures;
  • resell, publish or distribute platform data or reports in bulk, or use them to build competing databases or services;
  • interfere with the platform: create excessive load, look for or exploit vulnerabilities without our written permission, get around authentication, access closed sections or other users' data, or upload malicious code;
  • use another person's account, hand over your own or share one seat between two people;
  • misuse AI features or post personal information about others without a lawful basis.

Our robots.txt file only governs how search engines and AI services crawl pages for indexing. It does not permit anyone to extract platform data, including to build databases or services, and does not override this section.

Sanctions measures: we may refuse or remove a listing, block a conversation, restrict, suspend or close an account, refuse or stop a paid service, and refuse, hold or return a payment where the law requires it or where we reasonably believe that a user, a vessel or a cargo is subject to sanctions, that a listing or deal breaches sanctions or export control laws or involves deceptive shipping practices, or that providing the service would expose us, our banks or our payment providers to sanctions. We may act at once and without notice, and we give reasons as section 11 describes. For business users, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss caused by action we take in good faith under this paragraph. If we refuse or end a paid service under this paragraph and you have not breached these Terms, including your confirmations in sections 3 and 4, we refund the price of the part not provided, unless the law prohibits the refund or requires us to hold it.

Protective measures: the platform uses technical measures against automated data collection and abuse, including browser checks, limits on views and requests, and detection of automated activity. Where we detect such activity, the platform may automatically limit access to pages for a limited time, and a member of our staff decides whether to block the account (section 11). We do not disclose the signals, thresholds or methods we use. These measures are part of the terms on which the platform is provided. Collecting platform data by automated means in breach of this section, getting around a protective measure, or using the platform from an account we have blocked is access without our authorisation.

To report a breach, use the Report button on the listing or message, write to support@rynda.io or use the support button on the site (Reporting Content and Complaints).

10. Content and intellectual property

You keep the rights in your content. By posting it, you confirm that you may post it and grant the licence below, that it breaches no law or rights of others, including intellectual property, trade secret and data protection rights, and that you post information about other people on a lawful basis. If this is untrue, you are responsible to us for the resulting loss, to the extent permitted by law.

Our licence: to the extent your content is protected by intellectual property rights, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, copy and back it up; to display it on the platform, including other language versions, platform search, search engines, the archive and direct links, and in emails and digests to other users; to translate it, including by machine, process it with an AI model, and format and shorten it for display without changing its meaning; and to display it without naming the author. The licence lasts while the content is on the platform, including the archive, or stored by us, including copies kept after removal for legal compliance and disputes and until backups are replaced. We may grant the same rights to the operator of other language versions of the platform, for display there, and to our service providers, solely to run the platform. We do not provide reports on the use of content.

Our rights: the platform, its design, software, databases, reports and other original materials belong to us or our licensors, including the copyright and any database rights in them. You may not extract or reuse the contents of the platform's databases without our consent, including by repeatedly extracting small parts. You may use information and reports in your own business and share individual reports with your counterparties, advisers, insurers and banks in connection with your deal (Report Purchase Terms, section 8), but you may not resell them or distribute them in bulk.

Aggregated information: we may create and use aggregated or anonymised information derived from listings and platform use, such as market statistics, which does not identify you or your company. It belongs to us and may be kept after your content is removed.

Keep your own copies: the platform is not a storage service. Keep your own copies of listings, messages and files you need, including as evidence of your deals.

Our role as a host: we host content provided by users. Reviewing listings before publication does not mean that we have checked the rights in them or their accuracy. We act on notices that identify the content concerned (section 17). We may use your suggestions for improving the platform without payment or obligation.

11. Moderation and restrictions

We may review content before and after publication; refuse, return or remove listings and other content; block conversations; restrict account features or remove the verification mark; and block, suspend or close an account. Grounds include a breach of the law, these Terms or the Platform Rules; signs of fraud, spam, automated data collection or unauthorised access; a well-founded report; a legal requirement; and a listing outside the platform's scope. We choose a measure proportionate to the nature, consequences and repetition of the breach. In cases of suspected fraud, a threat to users' safety or a legal requirement, we may act immediately.

Automated tools: the message filter and the hiding of contact details (section 4) work automatically, and similar-listing detection helps moderators find duplicates. Where an account is used for automated data collection, the platform may automatically limit its access to pages for a limited time, and a member of our staff decides whether to block it (section 9). Our staff decide on publishing and removing listings and on blocking conversations, and may also block an account manually for abuse of the service.

Account blocking: a blocked account cannot sign in: sign-in with a password, a sign-in code or an email link is refused. We tell you about the block by email to your account's address. Blocking does not delete the account or its data: your My Fleet vessels, alerts and purchases are kept. To dispute a block, reply to that email or write to support@rynda.io from your account's email address. A member of our staff reviews the request and restores access if the block was wrong.

Telling you about a decision: we tell you about a measure and its reason by email or in your account. A rejected listing comes with a short reason, for example that it duplicates a listing already on the platform, lacks details or is not about sea freight or vessel chartering, or with a moderator's comment. Where the Digital Services Act applies, the statement also says how long the measure lasts, the facts relied on, whether automated means were used, the rule or law concerned and how to ask for a review. Where the Digital Services Act applies, we give reasons in every case unless the law, including an order of an authority, prohibits it. Elsewhere, we may withhold reasons where giving them would harm the protection of users or an investigation, or where the law prohibits it.

Review: if you disagree with a decision, write to support@rynda.io and explain why. Where possible, a different member of staff reviews it (Reporting Content and Complaints, section 7).

Moderation does not mean that we check every message or confirm the accuracy of a listing, the legality of a deal or the good faith of its author. A restriction does not remove the rights under a paid service that the law gives you (section 14).

12. Availability and liability

We use reasonable care and skill to keep the platform running and to fix errors within a reasonable time. The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, free of errors or suitable for your purposes. Maintenance, updates and failures of networks, hosting and third-party services may interrupt it.

We are not responsible for what other users and third parties post or do, for deals between users, payments under them and the condition of cargo and vessels, for a vessel, cargo, user or counterparty that is or becomes subject to sanctions or has been involved in deceptive shipping practices, including where this becomes known only after a listing is published, a report is built or a deal is made, for third-party websites and registers that the platform links to, or for unauthorised access if you shared your password or sign-in code. This does not affect your rights if a report has a defect caused by us (Report Purchase Terms, section 10). For business users, we are also not responsible for decisions based on platform information, the accuracy of third-party data or AI output (sections 5 and 6).

Limits for business users: to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to business users for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or data. Our total liability to a business user under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the greater of the fees it paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and USD 100.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable or for loss to your business. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and for fraud.

Free features: for business users, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from features provided free of charge.

What is not limited: nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, liability for a harmful act that cannot be excluded by agreement, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

Indemnity by business users: a business user indemnifies us against claims by third parties and authorities, and enquiries and measures of our banks and payment providers, arising from its content, the information about other people it posted, its deals and disputes with other users, any of its confirmations in sections 3 and 4 being untrue, or its breach of these Terms or the law, including sanctions and export control laws. This covers amounts we pay under a court or authority decision, including fines and penalties where the law allows, or under a settlement agreed with the business user; fines and charges that our banks or payment providers impose on us under their rules; and reasonable documented costs of defence and of responding to such claims and enquiries, including legal fees. We will tell the business user about such a claim and allow it to take part in the defence.

Agreed compensation for automated collection: a business user that, in breach of section 9, collects platform data by automated means, gets around a protective measure or passes data collected in this way to others pays us USD 5,000 for each such breach as agreed compensation, without affecting our right to claim further loss where the law allows.

Events beyond our control: neither party is responsible for a failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, civil unrest, decisions of authorities that restrict the platform, or major failures of networks or power supply. For business users, such events also include failures of AIS data, hosting, communication, payment and email providers that we could not prevent by reasonable measures.

13. Notices

We send messages to your account's email address, to notifications in your account and to Telegram if you have connected it. General announcements are published on the website.

We send legal notices to your account's email address, and a notice is treated as received when it reaches that address. You send legal notices to info@rynda.io or by post to our registered address (section 18). A message from your account's email address is treated as sent by you. Emails between these addresses count as written communication. Keep your email address working and check that our emails do not go to spam.

Electronic acceptance and records: ticking a box, pressing a button to accept terms or to pay, and other actions in your account after you sign in with your password, a code or an email link are your electronic acceptance and have the same effect as a signed document. Our electronic records of sign-ins, accepted documents and their versions, orders, payments, listings and messages may be used as evidence of those actions. For business users, they are evidence of those actions unless shown to be wrong.

Service emails come without separate consent while your account exists: sign-in codes and security notices, payment receipts, renewal and expiry notices, My Fleet alerts and digests for your vessels, messages about your listings, reminders about archiving listings, and notices of changes to our documents. Marketing emails, such as platform news, plan and trial offers, promotions, offers of our other services (Rynda Tech) and invitations to come back, are sent only with your separate optional consent, which is not a condition of registration (Consent to Marketing Emails). Unsubscribing through the link at the bottom of any of our emails, marketing or service, withdraws that consent in full.

14. Suspension, termination and account deletion

You may delete your account at any time: Account → Security → “Delete account”. You are then signed out. Your data is deleted within 10 working days; we may extend this by up to 5 working days and will tell you why. Until then, you can cancel the request with the “Cancel deletion” button or by signing in by any method: password, code or email link. If you cannot sign in, send the request to support@rynda.io from your account's email address.

Deleting an account gives a right to a refund only in the cases set out in section 8 and in Payments and Refunds. Deleting the Owner's account ends the team's access to the organisation's fleet.

When the request is carried out, your listings are unpublished and your account data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, section 9. We keep:

  • payment records, for as long as the law requires;
  • messages in conversations, which stay available to the other party;
  • information needed to resolve disputes and comply with the law, for as long as it is needed;
  • encrypted database backups, kept for up to 6 months; deleted data disappears from backups as they are replaced.

Blocking an account (section 11) does not by itself end these Terms or delete the account. We may end your access and delete your account for a serious or repeated breach of the law, these Terms or the Platform Rules, for use of the platform for fraud, if any of your confirmations in sections 3 and 4 is untrue in a material respect, where the law requires it, or on the grounds in the “Sanctions measures” paragraph of section 9. For consumers, we use this right only as far as the law allows. If a paid service ends because of a consumer's breach, we refund the fee for the unused part of the period. We may claim compensation for loss caused by the breach separately. A business user is not refunded for a period that has started, except as the “Sanctions measures” paragraph of section 9 provides (refund rules). If we discontinue the platform or a paid service, we tell users in advance and refund any period paid for but not provided.

Sections 10, 12 and 16, and obligations that arose earlier, continue to apply after these Terms end.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms and the documents that form part of them. Each new version is published on the platform together with the date it takes effect. We tell you about material changes at least 15 days before they take effect, by email and on the website. Changes required by law or by an authority, and changes that do not make your position worse, such as new features or clearer wording, may take effect on publication.

If you do not accept a new version, you may end the agreement and delete your account before it takes effect. At your request, we then refund the fee for the unused paid period on a pro rata basis, including to business users. This refund applies only when you leave because of a change to these Terms.

If you are a business user and continue to use the platform after a new version takes effect, you accept it. Consumers accept a new version by pressing “Accept” in the window the platform shows when they sign in, or by paying for a service; until then, the previous version applies to them, except for changes that improve their position or are required by law. Changes do not apply retrospectively and do not change the price of a period already paid for.

16. Governing law, disputes and general terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.

Before starting proceedings, send us a written notice describing the dispute to info@rynda.io or by post to our registered address. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days of receiving the notice. For business users, this step is required before starting arbitration. For consumers, it is optional and does not limit any legal right.

Business users: any dispute between us and a business user arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including about their existence, validity or termination, is finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration Rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre. The seat of arbitration is the Dubai International Financial Centre, the tribunal has one arbitrator, and the language is English. Either of us may apply to a competent court for urgent interim relief, including to stop automated data collection.

Consumers: consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of Dubai or in the courts of the country where they live, where the law gives them that right, and keep the mandatory protection of the law of that country.

These Terms are written in English. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. A provision that is unenforceable against consumers continues to apply to business users.

General

  • Transfer: we may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to an affiliate or to a successor to our business, for example in a reorganisation or a sale of the platform, and will tell you about it. If you are a consumer and the transfer makes your position worse, you may end the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund of any unused paid period. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent.
  • No waiver: if we do not enforce a right at once, we may still enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement: for business users, these Terms and the documents that form part of them are the entire agreement about the platform and replace earlier statements about it. This does not exclude liability for fraud.
  • Independent parties: these Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment between you and us.
  • Third parties: only you and we have rights under these Terms.

17. Points of contact and reporting illegal content

Single point of contact: authorities, including those of the Member States of the European Union, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, and users of the platform can contact us directly about matters covered by Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) at support@rynda.io. Communications can be sent in English. Messages to this address are handled by people, not only by automated tools.

Reporting illegal content: if you believe that a listing, message or other content on the platform is illegal, use the Report button on the listing or message, or send a notice to support@rynda.io or through the support button on the site. The Report button adds the link for you. Please include:

  • an explanation of why you consider the content illegal;
  • the exact location of the content, such as the page address (URL) or, for a message, the conversation and the date it was sent;
  • your name and email address, unless the notice concerns child sexual abuse material, which you may report anonymously;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the information and allegations in your notice are accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt of a notice sent with contact details and tell you our decision. We review notices in a timely, diligent and objective manner. If we remove content or restrict an account as a result, we inform the user concerned of the reasons, and they can ask for a review (section 11). Breaches of these Terms or the Platform Rules that are not illegal can be reported in the same way. The full process is in Reporting Content and Complaints.

18. Company details and contact
