1. Who provides paid services

Paid services on the international version of rynda.io are provided by RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO, registration number DMCC203729, licence number DMCC-1001472, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Free Zone, registered address Unit RET-R5-172, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us").

This page explains how payment, renewal, plan changes, cancellation and refunds work. It forms part of our Terms of Use. By paying for a service, you accept its description, the Terms of Use and this page. Payments under these terms are made in US dollars.

A "business user" is a company, a sole trader or an individual using the platform for their trade, business or profession. A "consumer" is an individual buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. Purchases made from a company account are made by the company and are business purchases.

Other Rynda services offered on separate websites are governed by their own terms.

2. What is free and what is paid

Free:

  • registration and your account;
  • posting listings on the Cargo board and the Vessel board, replies and messages;
  • the FREE plan of My Fleet, within its limits;
  • vessel, port and company pages, the map and other information pages, to the extent they are open without a subscription.

Paid:

  • My Fleet subscriptions on the PRO and ENTERPRISE plans;
  • the COMMERCIAL plan, on individual terms under a separate agreement;
  • one-off reports: vessel dossier, PSC inspection report, vessel history and shipowner report;
  • bundles of 5 or 10 report checks.

We do not charge for listings and take no commission on deals between users.

A paid service gives access to the features listed in the description of the plan, report or bundle at the time of payment, for the period or quantity paid for. Features not listed are not included.

3. Prices and billing periods

Prices are shown in US dollars on our pricing page; report prices also appear where you order a report. Before you confirm a payment, the payment page shows the total you will pay, including any applicable taxes and fees. That total is the amount charged. A business user accounts for any tax it must pay itself, such as VAT under the reverse charge. Fees charged by your own bank or card issuer, including for currency conversion, are not part of our price.

If a price is obviously wrong because of a technical or typing error, we may cancel the order and refund the payment in full, or offer you the service at the correct price (section 8 of the Terms of Use).

Subscriptions can be paid for 1, 6 or 12 months. Paying for 6 months gives a 5% discount, and paying for 12 months a 10% discount, compared with paying monthly. The ENTERPRISE price depends on the number of vessels you choose and on any additional team seats.

A subscription period runs in calendar months from activation. If you pay for the same plan before your current period ends, the new period is added to the end of the current one, and the limits of the new purchase, such as the number of vessels, apply immediately.

We may change prices and plan features. Changes apply to payments made after they are published, never to a period already paid for.

4. Free trial

We may offer a 7-day free trial of the PRO plan. No card is needed and nothing is charged.

A trial is available once per account and is not available if you have or had a paid subscription. We may refuse a trial where we see signs of abuse, such as repeat trials through new accounts or disposable email addresses.

During the trial, the PRO features apply, except that the trial includes one vessel dossier in total. We remind you by email 2 days before the trial ends. When it ends, your organisation moves to the FREE plan, vessels above the FREE limit are frozen (section 6), and nothing is charged.

If you pay for a plan during the trial, the paid period is added to the remaining trial days. We may change or withdraw trials without affecting one already started.

5. How to pay

You pay by card on the payment page of our payment service provider, which may show its own terms. The provider processes the payment; we do not receive or store your full card details. We pass your email address and name to the provider, and your phone number where the provider requires it.

A subscription or report is activated once the provider confirms the payment, usually within minutes. If a payment cannot be matched to your order, for example because the amount differs, we check it manually and either activate the service or refund the payment (section 10). A declined payment activates nothing.

If a payment shows signs of fraud, for example a card used without its holder's authority, we may hold the service and ask you to confirm the payment. If it is not confirmed, we cancel the order and return the payment to its source.

6. Renewal

Subscriptions paid in US dollars do not renew automatically, and we do not store your card for future charges. To continue, pay for a new period before the current one ends; the new period is added to the end of the current one.

We remind the owner of your organisation by email 7 days and 1 day before the subscription ends, and tell them once it has ended.

If you do not renew, your organisation moves to the FREE plan when the period ends, with the features and limits shown on the pricing page. If you have more vessels than the FREE limit, the most recently added vessels within the limit stay active and the others are frozen: no position updates, alerts or history. Nothing is deleted. Deleting an active vessel reactivates the next frozen one, and paying for a plan reactivates vessels up to its limit. Unused report quota does not carry over.

7. Changing plans

You can switch between PRO and ENTERPRISE before your paid period ends. We credit the unused part of your last payment for the current period, in proportion to the time left, against the price of the new plan. The new period starts on the payment date and replaces the current one. A subscription granted without payment gives no credit.

If the credit is larger than the price of the new plan, you pay the minimum amount the payment provider accepts, and the difference is not carried over. A consumer may ask us to refund the difference (section 10). Business users do not receive the difference.

Buying the same plan again, even with a different number of vessels or seats, is an extension (section 3).

8. Cancellation and refunds

Business users

For business users, a subscription is paid in advance for the whole period, and fees for a period that has started are not refunded, including if you stop using the service, switch to a smaller plan, delete your account or have your access restricted for a breach of the Terms of Use.

If a paid feature was unavailable through our fault, we will, at our choice, extend your period by the time it was unavailable or refund the part of the fee for that time.

Consumers

If you are a consumer, nothing on this page limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to cancel a subscription within 14 days from the day the contract is concluded, without giving any reason (Directive 2011/83/EU; in the UK, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013). To cancel, tell us clearly before the 14 days end: email support@rynda.io, write through the Support button on the site, or use the model cancellation form below. You do not have to use the form. We confirm receipt without delay. By paying, you ask us to start the subscription straight away. If you cancel within the 14 days, we refund the price minus an amount proportionate to the service provided up to the day you told us you were cancelling, as described in section 10.

Model cancellation form: fill it in and send it only if you want to cancel:

  • To: RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO, Unit RET-R5-172, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, info@rynda.io
  • I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: ____
  • Ordered on: ____
  • Name of consumer: ____
  • Address of consumer: ____
  • Signature of consumer (only if this form is sent on paper): ____
  • Date: ____

Reports are delivered straight after payment. At checkout you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that your right to cancel a report ends once it has been delivered; the payment confirmation email repeats this (Report Purchase Terms, section 10).

Everyone

We refund in full:

  • a duplicate or mistaken payment, where the same service was paid for twice or money was taken without an order;
  • a payment for a service we did not provide through our fault, such as a subscription that was not activated or a report we could not build.

If we refuse or end a paid service under the sanctions measures in section 9 of the Terms of Use and you have not breached the Terms of Use, we refund the price of the part not provided, unless the law prohibits the refund or requires us to hold it (section 10).

If we make a material change to the Terms of Use or this page and you do not accept it, you may end the agreement before the change takes effect and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused paid period (section 15 of the Terms of Use). This applies to business users too.

A request to delete your account is not, on its own, a refund request.

9. Reports and bundles

Report contents, delivery and failed reports are covered by our Report Purchase Terms; this section covers payment.

A bundle is 5 or 10 prepaid checks for one type of report: vessel dossier, PSC inspection report or shipowner report. Bundles are sold at a 5% or 10% discount on single-report prices, to signed-in users only. Checks belong to your organisation, or to you if you have no organisation, and do not expire. Checks from the earliest bundle are used first.

When you order a report, your plan's report quota is used first if the report is included in it, then a bundle check, and only then is the report paid for separately. Vessel history, and a dossier ordered together with a PSC inspection report, cannot be paid for with bundle checks.

Report quotas under a plan are counted per organisation per calendar month and do not carry over. Reports received under a quota are not paid for separately and are not refundable.

Refunds of bundles:

  • business users: unused checks are not refunded, unless a report was not provided through our fault;
  • consumers: if you cancel within 14 days of buying a bundle, we refund the checks you have not used; after that, unused checks are refunded where the law requires it;
  • if a report paid for with a check cannot be built, the check is returned to your bundle automatically.

10. How refunds are made

To ask for a refund, email support@rynda.io from your account email or the email used for the purchase. Tell us what you paid for, the date and amount of the payment, and what you are asking for and why. You do not need to send card details.

We review your request and send the refund within 10 calendar days of receiving it. If we cannot identify the payment, we will ask you for the missing details within the same period. If we refuse a refund, we will tell you why. If sanctions laws prohibit or restrict a payment or refund, we, our banks and our payment providers may refuse, hold or block it as those laws require, and we then refund only when and to the extent the law allows.

Refunds go back to the original payment method through the payment provider. If that is not possible, for example because the card has been closed, we refund to a bank account in the payer's own name that you give us in writing. We may ask for proof that the account belongs to the payer. Your bank usually needs several business days to credit the refund after we send it.

A subscription refunded in full ends. A subscription refunded in part ends on the day we received your request. In both cases your organisation moves to the FREE plan.

11. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If something is wrong with a payment, please contact us at support@rynda.io before you dispute it with your bank or card issuer.

If you dispute a payment, we may suspend the paid features bought with it while the dispute is open and give the payment provider information about the order, its delivery and your use of the service. If the money is returned to you through the dispute, we do not refund it again. If the money is returned to you through a dispute although the service was provided, you still owe the price: we may claim it and restrict paid features until it is paid. A business user also reimburses the fee that the bank or payment provider charged us for the dispute. This does not affect your rights as a consumer.

12. Receipts

After a successful payment, we email a confirmation with the amount and what you paid for. The payment provider may also send its own receipt. Subscription payments are listed in your account under Plans and usage, in the Subscription & billing block. For a document with your company details, write to support@rynda.io.

We keep payment records for as long as the law requires.

13. Contact

  • Payments, refunds and receipts: support@rynda.io.
  • Formal claims and legal notices: info@rynda.io and our registered address: RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO, Unit RET-R5-172, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We reply to a claim about a paid service within 10 calendar days, and to a formal claim from a business user within 30 calendar days (Reporting Content and Complaints). Disputes are governed by section 16 of the Terms of Use: the laws of the UAE as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, arbitration at the Dubai International Arbitration Centre for business users, and the courts of Dubai or of the country where they live for consumers. Consumers keep their mandatory rights.
