Safe Trading Notice
Version dated 15 October 2026Provided by RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO

1. The essentials
- We do not accept freight or any other payment for deals between users, act as a guarantor or offer a "safe deal" or "Rynda guarantee". A request to pay freight "through the platform" or "to Rynda" is a sign of fraud.
- Our staff never ask you to pay a counterparty or to share your password or a sign-in code or link.
- Our own services are paid only through the payment button on rynda.io, which opens our payment provider's page, or, under a separate written agreement, against an invoice from RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO. Check that the payee is RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO before you pay.
- Our emails come from addresses on the rynda.io domain.
- We do not check counterparties, cargo or vessels. A verification mark or a published listing does not guarantee the author's good faith.
- The other party's email and phone open only after both of you press "Agreed" (section 10 of the Platform Rules). "Agreed" is not a contract: sign one before you pay.
2. Warning signs
Stop and check the counterparty if you see:
- a request to prepay to a third party's account or a personal card;
- pressure: "the vessel sails today", "the price is valid for an hour";
- a rate far below the market for no clear reason;
- bank details changed mid-conversation, especially in an email "from accounts";
- a look-alike email domain, or a free email address where a company address was used before;
- a vessel or IMO number that is not in public registers, or particulars that do not match them;
- documents with corrections, missing details or mismatched dates, numbers and signatures;
- a push to move to a messenger or email before you have checked the company;
- a "fee" for access, registration, insurance or a platform commission.
3. Checking a counterparty
- Verification mark: "Verified" means our staff checked company documents the user uploaded. It does not guarantee good faith or the authority of the person you are talking to.
- Registers: find the company in the official company register of its country and compare its name, address, directors and registration date. Payment details must belong to the party to your contract.
- Company pages: for shipowners and ship managers, the platform shows registry roles and fleet with the date of the check.
- Reports: vessel dossiers and shipowner reports (Report Purchase Terms) are compiled from public sources and are for reference.
- Sanctions: the "Sanctioned" filter on the map shows matches with official sanctions lists by IMO number. It is a reference check, not a legal assessment. It shows the position on the date of the check: a vessel or company may be added to a sanctions list later, and a link between a vessel and a company may be missing from our sources.
- Common sense: sign a contract before paying. Walk away from someone who avoids a contract, will not name the company or rushes you.
4. Checking a vessel
- IMO number: seven digits, the last a check digit. It stays the same when the name, flag or owner changes, so check the vessel by its number.
- Particulars: compare name, type, deadweight, flag and build year with the vessel page and its "Verify against primary sources" block, which links to public registers such as IMO GISIS and Equasis.
- Position: positions based on AIS data from third-party sources are for reference only: they may lag, break off, contain errors or be spoofed, and do not prove that a vessel exists, is open or belongs to your counterparty.
- Vessel history: frequent changes of name, flag, owner or manager, long gaps in AIS, ship-to-ship transfers far from ports and documents that do not match the registers are warning signs of deceptive shipping practices. Ask for explanations and documents and check the vessel against primary sources. The absence of such information on the platform does not mean that nothing happened.
- Class and inspections: ask for class certificates and check them with the classification society. Review port state control inspections and detentions.
5. Protecting your account
- Use a password of at least 8 characters that you use nowhere else.
- An account works on one device at a time. Signing in elsewhere ends the old session with the message "You signed in on another device". If it was not you, change your password and contact us.
- Sign-in codes and links are single-use and valid for 30 minutes. Never share them, including with anyone claiming to be our staff.
- Sign in only at rynda.io.
- Do not open platform pages with bots or scripts: automated data collection is prohibited and can get an account blocked. A block notice comes from no-reply@rynda.io, and you can dispute it by replying (section 14 of the Platform Rules).
6. If something goes wrong
- Call your bank at once: the sooner it knows, the better the chance to stop or recall the payment.
- Keep evidence: conversations on and off the platform, screenshots, full emails with headers, the payment details used and payment documents.
- Report the fraud to the police.
- Change your password if you shared it or a sign-in code.
- Write to us (section 7). We may block the conversation, take down listings, restrict or block the account, keep records and pass them to authorities on lawful request.
We are not a party to deals between users and do not compensate losses caused by a counterparty (section 15 of the Platform Rules).
7. Where to report
Press Report on the listing or under the message: your report goes to support with the link. To attach screenshots or a payment demand, write to support@rynda.io or use the support button on the site, with a link to the listing or conversation, what happened, screenshots and any payment demand. Reports are handled under our notice and action procedure. Personal data questions go to info@rynda.io.
