1. Our approach

RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO wants the rynda.io platform to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, people who use a keyboard or a screen reader, and people working on board with a phone and a slow connection. This statement applies to the English version of the rynda.io website.

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our reference. We have not carried out a full independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim that the website conforms to WCAG.

What we already do:

  • the website works on phones, tablets and computers, and the layout adapts to the screen width;
  • you can enlarge text with your browser's zoom, and zooming is not blocked on phones;
  • when we change a screen, we check that its controls can be reached with a keyboard, that keyboard focus is visible and that buttons and other touch targets are large enough;
  • we are replacing notifications that close by themselves with messages that stay on the screen until you close them or the situation changes.

We review this statement when we make significant changes to the website and at least once a year.

2. Known limitations

  • Maps: the vessel and port map is visual and is hard to use with a keyboard or a screen reader. The main facts about a vessel, such as its position, destination and recent port calls, are also given as text on the vessel page.
  • Charts: some charts in My Fleet may not have a full text alternative.
  • Older pages: some older pages and parts of the account area may not be fully operable with a keyboard alone or announced correctly by screen readers.
  • Short notifications: some screens still show notifications that disappear after a few seconds.
  • Content from users: listings are written by their authors and translated automatically, so they may lack structure or contain translation errors.
  • PDF reports: vessel and company reports in PDF may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
  • Automatic browser check: some pages, such as vessel, port and company pages, run an automatic check in your browser before they open; in some cases the check starts after you press "Accept and continue", a standard button you can reach with the keyboard. The check needs JavaScript and cookies. If it stops you, email support@rynda.io.
  • Captcha: replying to a support ticket without an account requires solving a picture captcha. If you cannot solve it, email support@rynda.io instead.

We are working to remove these limitations.

3. How to get help or information in another format

If you have difficulty using any part of the website, or need information from it in another format, email support@rynda.io or use the Support button in the bottom right corner of the page. Tell us the page address and what you were trying to do. We will try to help and to provide the information in another way, and we aim to reply within 10 business days.
