Platform Rules
Version dated 15 October 2026Provided by RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO
Contents15
1. About these rules
These rules explain how listings are posted, reviewed and shown on rynda.io (the "platform"), how messaging works and what "Agreed" means. They form part of the Terms of Use between RYNDA GLOBAL FZCO ("we") and you, and you accept them with the Terms of Use at registration. They bind everyone who posts listings, sends messages or emails offers to broker@rynda.io.
A listing is a cargo offer, a vessel offer or a request for a vessel; its author is the user who posted it. A broker listing comes from a "Broker" or "Forwarder" account and is marked "From broker".
If these rules conflict with the Terms of Use, these rules prevail on posting, display, messaging and "Agreed", and the Terms of Use prevail on everything else (section 1 of the Terms of Use). We change these rules under section 15 of the Terms of Use and may relax a limit without changing the text. Other Rynda services offered on separate websites are governed by their own terms.
2. Who may post listings
Any signed-in user may post cargo, vessel offers and requests for a vessel; company verification is not required. Only "Broker" and "Forwarder" accounts may post broker listings.
Post only cargo or vessels you may offer yourself or that the cargo owner, charterer, shipowner or operator has instructed or allowed you to offer. If you act for a company, you need its authority; actions in your account are treated as yours and your company's (section 3 of the Terms of Use). We may ask you at any time to prove your authority or the listing details and hold the listing back until you do.
3. Listing types and where they appear
We accept listings only for the carriage of cargo by sea and for vessel chartering.
| Board | Listing types |
|---|---|
| "Cargo": cargo that needs a vessel | "Part cargo", "Full shipload", "Consecutive voyages", "Vessel wanted", broker cargo |
| "Vessels": open tonnage | "Voyage charter", "Time charter", broker vessel offers |
Cards show the deal type and the source, "Direct" or "From broker". Listings may also appear on the map and in suggestions (section 8).
A listing is an invitation to negotiate, not an offer capable of acceptance unless the author expressly says so, and it creates no obligations for us.
4. What a listing must contain
A listing cannot be sent for review without these details:
| Listing type | Required details |
|---|---|
| "Part cargo", "Full shipload" | title of at least 3 characters, loading and discharge ports from the port directory, loading date no earlier than today, cargo type and weight, rate |
| "Consecutive voyages" | as above, plus at least two voyages |
| "Vessel wanted" | title, area or port, laycan start, rate |
| Vessel offer | title, IMO number (a "Broker" account may give the vessel name instead), deadweight, open port or area, open date, rate |
| Broker cargo | title, loading and discharge places, loading date, cargo type, weight, contact person and phone |
| Broker vessel offer | title, vessel name, deadweight, open port and open date |
The rate is a number above zero or "Rate on request". A broker states the commission if the offer includes one; an empty field shows no commission.
A listing must be accurate, with no invented cargo, vessels, IMO numbers, ports, dates, weights, rates or commissions. Any vessel name, IMO number or flag you give to identify the vessel must be its real and current one; do not present one vessel as another, use a former name or flag to hide a vessel, or misstate the cargo or its origin. It covers one cargo or vessel and does not repeat an existing offer, including from another account. Edit it when terms change, and archive or cancel it once the cargo or vessel is fixed or withdrawn.
The listing and the deal it proposes must comply with the sanctions and export control laws that apply to you, your counterparty, the vessel, the cargo, the deal or us. If that stops being true, take the listing down at once. You confirm all of this with each listing (section 4 of the Terms of Use).
Do not put contact details or links in the title, description or files. The platform replaces them in descriptions with "[contact hidden]", but masking can miss some, and you remain responsible. The contact person and phone of a broker listing are seen only by the author and us.
Photos may be JPEG, PNG or WEBP and documents PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 10 MB each. Photos are public, documents visible to signed-in users. Do not attach personal data.
5. How to post
On the website: "Post an offer" opens a window where you can paste up to 3,000 characters, including a whole email. An AI model from a third-party provider builds the card, or you can use the "Step-by-step form". Check every field in the preview and the "Publication checklist": parsing can be wrong, and you are responsible for the published listing (section 6 of the Terms of Use). Parses per day are limited. A guest's draft is kept in the browser for 2 hours and survives sign-in, which is needed to publish.
By email: "Broker" and "Forwarder" accounts can email offers to broker@rynda.io (section 11).
The same rules apply to any other channel we make available. Text submitted for parsing goes to the AI model provider (Privacy Policy).
6. Review before publication
New and edited listings reach a board only after review; until then the author sees them in "My listings". A date-only change to a broker listing, or its republication from the archive, may go live without a new review.
Moderation will publish a listing, return it with a comment, or reject it: as a duplicate, including a duplicate of a listing that is already published (with a link to it); as replaced, when the author has sent a new version (with a link to it); for lack of data (cargo or vessel, ports, dates); as off-profile (not about sea freight or chartering); or for another reason, which the moderator explains. Before deciding, and in a listing that is already published, moderation may correct obvious errors: the title and description, the rate, the loading and discharge rates and, in a broker listing, also details taken from the email incorrectly: for cargo, the ports, loading dates and weight; for a vessel, its name, type, deadweight, flag, open port and open date. The author remains responsible for the listing's content. Similar listings are flagged to moderators automatically, and if the same offer arrives with a later date, moderation may move that date into the existing listing and reject the repeat. The author is notified in the account; if no reason is given, ask support@rynda.io.
Moderation checks completeness, subject, duplicates and visible violations. Publication does not mean that we have confirmed that the cargo or vessel exists, that the author has authority, that rates and dates are realistic or that the vessel, the cargo and the parties are not subject to sanctions, or that a deal is lawful. A staff member decides. Review time is not guaranteed, and submission does not oblige us to publish. We may refuse a listing that breaks these rules, the law or others' rights, or that raises reasonable doubts about its accuracy, and we tell the author why. We may review any published listing and act under section 14.
7. Display period and archive
| Listing type | Moves to the archive |
|---|---|
| Cargo | the day after the loading date, but no later than 30 days after posting |
| Vessel offer and "Vessel wanted" | 30 days after posting |
| Broker cargo | 2 days after the loading date |
| Broker vessel offer | 30 days after the open date |
If a broker's email gives no loading or open date, the seventh day after the email arrived is used as that date for the period; for cargo whose laycan in the email has already started, the third day. This working date is not shown on the card.
Periods are checked daily, so archiving may be up to a day late. Authors are emailed when a listing is archived at the end of its display period (except broker vessel offers), and brokers may get reminders before expiry; a missing email or reminder does not extend the period.
The author can archive or cancel a listing early; a cancelled listing cannot be restored. An archived direct listing can be posted again as a copy, which is reviewed again; a broker listing returns with "Republish", with a new date if the old one has passed. Some listings, such as one on which both parties pressed "Agreed", can be archived but not deleted.
Moderation may also move a published listing to the archive if it is out of date or the author has sent a new version, or for another reason the moderator states. The listing stays in the author's archive and no email is sent. This is not a refusal to publish or a measure under section 14, and the listing can be posted again as described above.
Archived listings leave the boards and suggestions, and no new conversations can start on them; existing ones remain. An archived or cancelled direct listing may stay available by direct link as a record of a past offer, closed to search engine indexing; a broker card stops opening once archived. See the Privacy Policy for retention.
8. How listings are shown
Boards and cards are public and may be indexed by search engines. The order is the same for every viewer and does not depend on payment.
Main parameters that determine ranking
The main parameters that determine ranking on the boards are:
- Pinning: pinned listings come first in any order and are marked "Pinned". We choose what to pin and for how long. Pinning is not sold, there is no paid promotion, and we accept no payment for ranking. If we start selling pinning or promotion, we will publish the terms first and mark listings shown higher for payment (Terms of Use, section 8).
- Publication time: by default, the newest listings come first; on a tie, the later one ranks higher.
- The visitor's sort choice: loading or open date (nearest first), weight or deadweight (largest first), rate (lowest first; only per-tonne rates are compared, others come last) or commission (highest first).
Filters (deal type, source, ports, size, date, text) include or exclude listings without changing the order. The "New" label is shown for 24 hours after publication.
Similar listings and suggestions
A card shows up to four similar active listings from the same board, scored by matching loading port and discharge port (2 points each) and sea area (1 point). On a vessel page, "Cargo nearby" selects cargo by fixed rules: cargo and vessel compatibility, lot size against deadweight, distance from the vessel's position based on AIS data from third-party sources, and laycan. On the Cargo board, and on the page of your own cargo listing (only you see it there), "Who sails this route" lists vessels that sailed from the load place to the discharge place of the search or the listing (a port, a country or a sea region), based on port calls since 1 May 2026, labelled by how close the voyage is (same route, nearby ports within 300 nm, same region) and, when a quantity is given, filtered by cargo and vessel compatibility and deadweight. You can sort the list by closeness to the route or by how often a vessel sailed it. Your plan sets how many rows you see, not which vessels are selected or their order. Suggestions are a hint, not a guarantee.
What visitors see and translation
The author appears as "Company" or "Individual", with "Verified" for a verified company, plus "On the platform since", the "Agreements on the platform" counter and views. Names and contacts appear only in the conversation (section 10). Listings are machine-translated between the platform's languages by a third-party AI model at publication and after each edit. On a listing's page, a translation is marked "Machine translation" under the title; board cards show translations without a label. Translations may be inaccurate; the author's text prevails.
9. Messages
The "Contact" button opens a conversation with the author in "Messages"; you must be signed in.
Blocked content: until both sides have pressed "Agreed" (section 10), a message with contact details, an external link or a company name is not sent, and the reason is shown. Once both sides have confirmed, contact details, links and company names may be written in that conversation. The automated check can err either way: rephrase a legitimate message it held back; a violation it missed is still a violation. Do not get around it by splitting numbers, replacing characters or using attachments. Attachments may be PDF, DOC or DOCX up to 10 MB each, without malicious code.
Limit for new accounts: an account without company verification, or less than 7 days old, can start up to 5 new conversations in 24 hours and 20 in total while the limit applies; replies do not count. Verified accounts older than 7 days and organisations on a PRO or ENTERPRISE My Fleet plan have no limit. Do not open new accounts to avoid it.
Notifications: the recipient is notified in the account and by an email with the message text, at most once every 30 minutes per conversation.
Moderation: keep to the subject; section 13 applies. You can report a message from the other party with the Report button under it. We may review conversations on a complaint, on signs of a violation or fraud, or where the law requires, and block a conversation, giving the reason in it. Messages stay with the other party after the sender's account is deleted.
10. "Agreed" and sharing contact details
- The person who was contacted, usually the author, presses "Agreed" first; the other party is notified and can confirm only after that.
- Once both confirm, each sees the other's email and phone, and each party's "Agreements on the platform" counter rises by one. The counter shows mutual confirmations, not concluded or performed deals.
- The listing is marked as agreed but stays on the board until the author archives it; the platform reminds the author.
Names and company names are visible in the conversation from the start. Your email and phone are visible to the other party only when both have pressed "Agreed" or when you have shared them yourself. After agreement, or once the author has shared their contacts, the listing description in the conversation is shown unmasked. Confirmations and shared contacts cannot be withdrawn.
What "Agreed" means
"Agreed" only shows that the parties want to continue directly and share contacts. It is not a contract of carriage, a charter party or any other contract, nor an offer or acceptance. It records no terms, creates no obligations for us and does not mean we have checked the parties, the cargo or the vessel. The parties agree terms and sign a contract themselves. The counter shows mutual confirmations, not completed deals. Do not press "Agreed" without real negotiations or inflate the counter with your own or related accounts; we may leave such agreements out of it.
11. Brokers and forwarders
A broker or forwarder may post cargo or a vessel only if the principal (cargo owner, charterer, shipowner or operator) has instructed or allowed them to. Do not repost offers from mailing lists, channels or websites without authority, keep offering what the principal has withdrawn, or pose as the principal. The "From broker" mark discloses your role; state your capacity when asked. State any commission in the listing: it is a matter between the broker and the parties, and we receive none of it.
Offers by email to broker@rynda.io
- Send from your "Broker" or "Forwarder" account's email address, never in someone else's name. The sender is the email's technical return address; for a forwarded email, the person who forwarded it.
- Subject and body are processed together; several offers become separate listings.
- A third-party AI model parses each offer. If the email gives no loading or open date, the listing's date field stays empty and the display period follows section 7. If it names no loading, discharge or open port, that place is not shown in the listing. Other missing details may be filled with a general value, such as "General cargo" for the cargo type; moderators see these but may miss them. An unstated commission is not shown.
- The listings go to review (section 6), and you get a reply from broker@rynda.io. Their contact details come from your account, not from the email.
- The full email is stored for moderation, visible only to us. The email text is not copied into the description, which is compiled from the cargo or vessel details (section 12). Remove what the offer does not need, such as signatures and forwarding chains.
- Check your listings in "My listings" and fix parsing errors: you are responsible for them.
If the sender has no account, nothing is published: the sender is invited to register, and we keep the latest email from that address until a "Broker" or "Forwarder" account is registered with it or the sender asks support@rynda.io to delete it. Other account types get a reply that a "Broker" or "Forwarder" account is needed.
12. Information about other people
Listings and broker emails may contain other people's names, positions, contacts and signatures. Post them only if you may share them and the offer needs them. Never post passport details, home addresses, health or private-life information, others' correspondence or anything you must keep confidential.
The platform masks email addresses, phone numbers, messenger usernames and links in descriptions and removes greeting lines and signatures with everything below them, though it may miss some. Other names of people and company names are not hidden. Masking does not relieve the author of responsibility.
By posting, you confirm a lawful basis to share such information. We do not check it before publication and host it as an intermediary; claims against us caused by it are your responsibility under section 12 of the Terms of Use. The person concerned can ask for removal under our notice and action procedure, including with the Report button on the listing, which works without an account, or by a personal data request to info@rynda.io (section 5 of that procedure). We may remove the information or the listing and tell the author why.
13. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Post false listings or listings you are not entitled or instructed to post.
- Impersonate anyone, including our staff, or use another party's name, details, documents, vessel name or IMO number to mislead.
- Post listings outside the platform's subject (section 3).
- Offer carriage of prohibited goods; list a vessel or cargo or propose a deal in breach of sanctions or export control laws that apply to you, your counterparty or us, including where a person, vessel or cargo involved is subject to such sanctions; or use the platform unlawfully in any other way.
- Post duplicates, including from other accounts, or repost a rejected listing without fixing the reason.
- Bypass review or technically alter a listing's status, pinning or position.
- Pass contact details, links or company names around the check.
- Press "Agreed" without negotiations or inflate agreements.
- Spam, advertise unrelated services, insult, threaten or harass.
- Demand payments in our name or claim a platform "guarantee" or "safe deal".
- Send malicious files or links or forged documents, or ask for a password or sign-in code.
- Collect platform data by automated means (opening vessel pages at machine pace, scraping catalogues, bots or scripts), get around limits, use several accounts to avoid restrictions or come back under a new account after a block.
- Post information about others without the right to do so, or material that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Engage in or facilitate deceptive shipping practices: switching off or manipulating AIS to conceal a vessel's identity, position or voyage, ship-to-ship transfers designed to hide a cargo's origin or destination, falsified vessel, cargo or origin documents, false flags or IMO numbers, or misrepresenting who owns or controls a vessel or cargo.
14. Violations and measures
To report a violation, use the Report button on a listing or under a message, write to support@rynda.io or use the Support button (complaints procedure, section 3).
If you break these rules, the Terms of Use, the law or others' rights, if your confirmations on a listing are untrue, or if there are reasonable signs of fraud or deceptive shipping practices, we may refuse, return, take down or delete a listing; remove contact details or third-party information from it; block a conversation; remove the verification mark; restrict features, block the account or end access; and keep records for lawful requests from competent authorities. We may also take the sanctions measures in section 9 of the Terms of Use.
We choose and combine measures based on the nature, consequences and repetition of the violation. Where users are at risk, in cases of fraud or where the law requires, we act at once and without warning; otherwise we let you fix the problem where possible. Measures do not release you from liability. A measure taken in line with these rules does not entitle you to compensation; if a measure was taken in error, we reverse it (complaints procedure, section 7), and consumers keep their rights under the law that applies to them. Paid services follow Payments and Refunds and applicable law.
Statement of reasons and review
We tell you about a measure and its reasons in your account, by email or in the conversation. Where the Digital Services Act applies, we give reasons in every case unless the law, including an order of an authority, prohibits it; elsewhere, we may withhold reasons where giving them would put users at risk or undermine an investigation, or where the law prohibits it. The message filter, contact masking, duplicate detection, archiving by date and temporary limits on access to pages during automated data collection run automatically; account blocks and other decisions are taken by staff, who also review objections to automatic limits. We may stop processing notices from a person who repeatedly sends manifestly unfounded ones. To request a review, write to support@rynda.io under section 7 of our complaints procedure with the decision and your arguments.
Account blocking
When the platform detects automated data collection, it may limit access to pages for a limited time. A member of our team decides whether to block the account for automated collection or other abuse. We do not disclose detection signals, thresholds or methods.
A blocked account cannot sign in, and we email the owner from no-reply@rynda.io. To dispute the block, reply to that email or write to support@rynda.io from the account address. A member of our team reviews it and restores access if the block was a mistake. Blocking does not delete the account or its data.
15. Deals and disputes between users
We are not a party, carrier, forwarder, broker, agent or guarantor in deals between users. We do not accept freight or other payments between users and never ask you to pay a counterparty. We do not check authority, cargo, vessels or documents or monitor performance, and we are not responsible for the parties' acts. We charge no commission on deals between users, and posting is free.
The parties check each other, the vessel and the cargo, including the vessel's ownership and history and the cargo's origin, agree terms, sign contracts, obtain the permits and licences their deal needs, comply with the sanctions, customs, currency and tax rules that apply to it and answer to each other; see our Safe Trading Notice. A conversation on the platform is not a record of a deal: put agreed terms in a contract and keep your own copies of negotiations and documents. We do not resolve disputes, act as an arbitrator, certify conversations or confirm agreed terms. You can report a counterparty to support@rynda.io under our complaints procedure. We may act under section 14 but do not collect debts, compensate losses caused by a counterparty or enforce contracts.
If, during negotiations or after a deal, a vessel, cargo or counterparty turns out to be subject to sanctions or to have been involved in deceptive shipping practices, the parties deal with the consequences between themselves under their contract and the law. We are not responsible for this and do not compensate the parties' losses (section 12 of the Terms of Use). You can report such a listing under our complaints procedure.
We disclose information to competent authorities on lawful request and report to them where the law requires; our point of contact is in section 17 of the Terms of Use. Our liability is set out in section 12 of the Terms of Use.
