Custom areas are regions you draw on the map and use in alerts (a vessel entering or leaving the area).
How to create an area
- Open the Areas section.
- Click "Draw an area on the map" and outline the region.
- Save it — you can now pick it in an alert.
Why it helps
- Watch a region (e.g. a port approach or a strait).
- Get notified when a vessel enters or leaves the area.
