Custom areas are regions you draw on the map and use in alerts (a vessel entering or leaving the area).
How to create an area
- Open the Zones section.
- Pick a tool on the map toolbar — freehand, circle or rectangle — and outline the region.
- Name it and press Save area — you can now pick it in an alert.
Why it helps
- Watch a region (e.g. a port approach or a strait).
- Get notified when a vessel enters or leaves the area.
The area limit depends on your plan: FREE — 2, PRO — 15, ENTERPRISE — unlimited. Enter and leave area alerts run on PRO and ENTERPRISE.
