Company verification is a document check of your legal entity that adds the "Verified" badge to your profile on marketplace cards and in chat.
Verification does not lock or unlock sections: every registered member sees all marketplace listings and can message any counterparty in the built-in chat. The badge tells the other side who they are dealing with.
Which badges do counterparties see?
| Badge |
Meaning |
| Individual |
A private person without a legal entity |
| Not verified |
A company is declared but documents are not checked |
| Verified |
The legal entity is confirmed by documents |
The badge appears on listing cards in Chartering and in the header of every chat thread — next to the counterparty's role (shipowner, broker, forwarder).
What works without verification?
- Viewing all listings: cargo, vessels for charter, vessel search, time charter.
- Responding to a listing and messaging the counterparty in chat.
- Posting requests and using My Fleet.
Chat rules apply to everyone: contact details, company names and external links are not allowed in messages — a message containing them will not be sent.
How do I get verified?
- Open the "Account verification" page from your dashboard.
- Upload your Certificate of Incorporation (or an extract from the commercial register).
- Upload proof of signatory authority — a board resolution appointing the director, or a power of attorney.
- Wait for the review: it usually takes 24 business hours, after which the "Verified" badge appears automatically.
An individual account can be upgraded to a company account — after the upgrade, submit the same documents to get the badge.
Verification is not a gate pass but a reputation signal: counterparties reply more often when your company is confirmed.
