Significant changes to charted detail have taken place within the port of Klaipeda. The most significant of these are listed below. 2. The charted maintained area, depth 15 m, centred on position 55 43,70 N - 21 03,70 E, has been extended southeastwards to a new southern limit, bounded by the following positions : 55 42,954 N - 21 06,418 E (existing limit) ; 55 42,843 N - 21 06,649 E ; 55 42,896 N - 21 06,855 E (existing limit). 4. The charted maintained area, depth 14 m, centred on position 55 41,820 N - 21 07,670 E , is no longer in existence. 5. The charted maintained area, depth 14,5 m, has been extended south-westwards to include the following positions : 55 40,002 N - 21 08,187 E (existing limit) ; 55 39,977 N - 21 08,183 E ; 55 39,977 N - 21 08,235 E ; 55 39,948 N - 21 08,236 E ; 55 39,948 N - 21 08,256 E (FSRU Independence). and 55 39,781 N - 21 08,286 E (FSRU Independence) ; 55 39,767 N - 21 08,286 E ; 55 39,767 N - 21 08,408 E ; 55 39,833 N - 21 08,568 E (existing limit). 6. Works are in progress between berths 135-136 and 140, in an area bounded by the following positions : 55 39,136 N - 21 09,661 E ; 55 39,084 N - 21 09,545 E ; 55 38,992 N - 21 09,507 E ; 55 38,933 N - 21 09,580 E ; 55 38,881 N - 21 09,628 E ; 55 38,826 N - 21 09,655 E ; 55 38,799 N - 21 09,818 E ; 55 38,835 N - 21 09,839 E ; 55 38,897 N - 21 09,850 E. 7. Submarine pipeline laying operations are taking place, joining the following positions : 55 39,114 N - 21 09,653 E ; 55 39,136 N - 21 09,462 E ; 55 39,154 N - 21 09,245 E. 8. Significant dredging activities are ongoing throughout the port. 9. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area and to contact the local port authority for the latest information.
