20 03-P-31. INDONESIA. Jawa. — Precautionary area. Traffic separation scheme. (Taunton, 20-264 (P)) 1. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has adopted proposals to establish a New Traffic Separation Scheme and Precautionary Area in the Sunda Strait, which is to be implemented at 0000 UTC on 1 July 2020. 2. The details of the new scheme are shown in the accompanying diagram (voir Tiré à part T.1). The numbered positions on the diagram relate to the positions listed below. 3. A new traffic separation scheme is to be established as follows : a. A separation zone, 0,3 M wide, is to be established joining the following positions : (2) 5 48,89 S — 105 51,31 E (3) 5 49,06 S — 105 51,58 E (6) 5 51,34 S — 105 50,16 E (7) 5 51,17 S — 105 49,89 E b.A traffic lane for north-east bound traffic is to be established between the separation zone in 3a. above and a line joining the following positions : (4) 5 49,66 S — 105 52,54 E (5) 5 51,94 S — 105 51,13 E c. A traffic lane for south-west bound traffic is to be established between the separation zone in 3a. above and a line joining the following positions : (1) 5 48,30 S — 105 50,35 E (8) 5 50,57 S — 105 48,92 E d.A separation line is to be established joining the following positions : (15) 5 53,65 S — 105 48,56 E (16) 5 57,04 S — 105 46,46 E e.A traffic lane for north-east bound traffic is to be established between the separation line in 3d. above and a line joining the following positions : (10) 5 53,97 S — 105 49,09 E (11) 5 55,03 S — 105 48,43 E (14) 5 57,76 S — 105 47,32 E f.A traffic lane for south-west bound traffic is to be established between the separation line in 3d. above and a line joining the following positions : (9) 5 53,34 S — 105 48,06 E (12) 5 54,41 S — 105 47,39 E (13) 5 56,38 S — 105 45,51 E 4. A precautionary area, with recommended directions of traffic flow, is to be established, bounded by the following positions : (8) 5 50,57 S — 105 48,92 E (5) 5 51,94 S — 105 51,13 E (10) 5 53,97 S — 105 49,09 E (9) 5 53,34 S — 105 48,06 E 5. An inshore traffic zone is to be established, joining the following positions : (17) 5 47,57 S — 105 48,01 E (1) 5 48,30 S — 105 50,35 E (8) 5 50,57 S — 105 48,92 E (9) 5 53,34 S — 105 48,06 E (12) 5 54,41 S — 105 47,39 E (13) 5 56,38 S — 105 45,51 E (18) 5 54,46 S — 105 43,04 E 6.
