17 29-P-02. GERMANY (North Sea Coast). The Elbe - Cuxhaven and approaches. — Depths. Dredged areas. Vertical clearance. (Taunton, 17-3257(P)) 1. Extensive changes to charted detail have taken place within Cuxhaven and its approaches. 2. Numerous depths less than charted exist within the approaches to Cuxhaven. The most significant are as follows (WGS84 DATUM) : Depth Position 15,7 m 53 53,550 N - 8 41,548 E ; 12,6 m 53 53,411 N - 8 41,666 E ; 17,6 m 53 53,495 N - 8 41,773 E ; 0,9 m 53 52,171 N - 8 44,332 E. 3. Dredged areas within Jachthafen (53 52,470 N - 8 42,354 E) have been amended. 4. Dredged areas within Amerika-Hafen (53 51,913 N - 8 43,000 E) have been amended and a new dredged area 6,6 m has been established in an area approximately 100 m from the coastline. The entrance and centre of the basin has been dredged to 8 m. 5. Existing dredged area limits have been amended accordingly in the vicinity of the new dredged areas. 6. The vertical clearance at Bascule Bridge (53 52,106 N - 8 42,432 E) has been amended to 1,6 m. 7.
