The controlling depth on the leading line is now 16,7 m in position 9 22,80 N — 79 53,82 W. 4 - The turning basin marked by buoys has been dredged to at least 16 m. Outside the buoyage, to the SW of the turning basin, the seabed shoals steeply to 5,2 m in position 9 21,98 N — 79 53,62 W and 6,3 m in position 9 21,95 N — 79 53,59 W. 5 - Depths less than charted exist in the following positions : Depth Position 9,2 m 9 22,57 N — 79 53,88 W 8,9 m 9 22,41 N — 79 53,88 W 5,9 m 9 22,07 N — 79 53,63 W 8,6 m 9 22,09 N — 79 53,21 W 6 - The Harbour Master’s office has been established in position 9 21,92 N — 79 53,16 W. 7 - Control towers have been removed from the following positions : 9 21,73 N — 79 52,73 W ; 9 21,63 N — 79 53,01 W. 8 - Work is continuing at the Colón Container Terminal and Punta Coco Solo and the channel will be re-dredged. 9 - Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area and consult the local authorities for the latest information.
