17 19-P-12. EGYPT (North Coast). Port of Alexandria. — Floating dock. Coastline. Depths. Buoyage. Port developments. (Taunton, 17- 2124(P)) 1. Port developments have taken place in the Port of Alexandria including numerous changes to coastline, depths and buoyage. 2. Dredging operations have taken place between Great Pass light and the Recommended Channel within the Port of Alexandria. a) Alexandria Port Great Pass has been dredged to 15,5 m, along a centreline joining the following positions (WGS84 DATUM) : 31 10,128 N - 29 48,437 E ; 31 09,621 N - 29 49,826 E ; 31 09,584 N - 29 50,374 E ; 31 09,872 N - 29 50,874 E. The minimum width of the dredged channel is approximately 210 m. b) The Recommended Channel within the Port of Alexandria has been dredged to 14,5 m, along a centreline joining the following positions (WGS84 Datum) : 31 09,872 N - 29 50,874 E ; 31 11,703 N - 29 52,404 E. The minimum width of the dredged channel is approximately 200 m. 3. A floating dock has been established in position, 31 11,764 N - 29 52,480 E. 4. The local port authority must be consulted for the latest information on depths, aids to navigation and other developments. 5. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area.
