17 13-P-06. UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Approaches to Khalifa Port. — Works. (Taunton, 17-1490 (P)) 1 — Works are taking place to widen and deepen the existing dredged channel in the approaches to Khalifa Port. 2 — The works area is bounded by the following positions : 24 48,71 N — 54 38,76 E ; (quay) 24 54,66 N — 54 33,51 E ; 24 56,25 N — 54 35,57 E ; 24 50,27 N — 54 40,78 E ; 24 50,01 N — 54 40,47 E. (breakwater) 3 — Khalifa Port and its approach channel will remain fully operational for the duration of the works. 4 — Vessels within the port limit will be notified of any changes to navigational marks. 5 — Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area and to contact the local port authority for the latest information. 6 — Charts will be updated when the works are complete.
