17 02-P-13. LYBIA. Gulf of Sirte. — Anchorage areas. Submarine pipelines. Buoyage. Restricted area. (Taunton, 17-84(P)) 1. The Al Khalij (Surt) Power and Desalinisation Station is now operational in position, 31 13,100 N - 16 20,850 E (WGS84 Datum). An anchorage area, SPM and pipelines have been established offshore of the plant as follows (see accompanying diagram) (Tiré à part T.01 joint). 2. A circular anchorage area, diameter 1 NM, has been established, centred on position 31 14,700 N - 16 22,200 E. 3. A SPM mooring light-buoy with ground tackle, Mo(U)15s Horn(U)30s, has been established in position 31 14,431 N - 16 21,229 E. Centred on the SPM is : a) A vessel manoeuvring area, radius 624 m, for vessels with a maximum draft of 11,3 m, also. b) Within a radius of 225 m exist two floating hoses equipped with winker lights every 36,6 m. c) The depth of water at the SPM is reported to be : i) 26,7 m at High Water ii) 25,5 m at MSL iii) 24,5 m at Chart Datum 4. Connecting the SPM to shore are Oil and Gas submarine pipelines which have been established between the following positions (WGS84 Datum) : 31 13,300 N - 16 21,015 E (shore) ; 31 14,431 N - 16 21,229 E (SPM). 5. A water intake submarine pipeline has been established between the following positions (WGS84 Datum) : Position Remarks 31 13,320 N - 16 20,800 E (shore). 31 13,836 N - 16 20,594 E. Marked by unlit yellow special mark buoys. 6. A discharge submarine pipeline has been established between the following positions (WGS84 Datum) : Position Remarks 31 13,280 N - 16 21,240 E (shore). 31 13,428 N - 16 21,410 E. Marked by unlit yellow special mark buoys. 7. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution in the area and consult the local authorities for the latest information. Voir carte GB3402
