15 06-T-08. UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Umm Shaif Oilfield. — Traffic separation schemes. (Taunton, 15-506 (T)) 1 — Survey operations are taking place in Zaqqum and Umm Shaif TSS (25 01,0 N — 53 15,0 E), until June 2015. Cables have been laid north to south across the TSS, there is a possibility that deep draught vessels may drag on these cables. 2 — Until further notice all vessels with a draught greater than 14m are to use an alternative route. Vessels may use the Das DW route (25 20,0 N — 53 06,0 E), for ports of Das and Zirku, traffic for Ru'ays (Ruwais) may pass west of Das. Vessels are to report as usual, and inform Das VTS of their deepest draught. 3 — Mariners are advised to keep clear of survey operations and navigate with caution in the vicinity.
