Indian authorities report that a collision occurred near the Outer Traffic Buoy off Kandla port in Gujarat between the merchant vessels MV KMAX EMPEROR and MV TRUE MARINER. One of the ships sustained damage, creating a safety risk for the crew on board. A distress alert was relayed to the India Coast Guard, which deployed assets and initiated a search and rescue mission, successfully evacuating 21 of the 24 crew members from MV KMAX EMPEROR; three remained on the vessel to support critical operations and participate in follow‑up measures.
