Japanese yard Namura Shipbuilding on September 15, 2026 delivered the 182,000-dwt bulk carrier “FRONTIER HARMONY” to Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), following completion at its Imari yard in Saga Prefecture. The vessel strengthens NYK’s fleet of large bulk carriers and highlights steady demand for modern ships in the dry bulk segment.
Japanese industry sources report that on September 15, 2026 Namura Shipbuilding completed and formally handed over the Capesize-class bulk carrier “FRONTIER HARMONY,” with a deadweight of about 182,000 tons, to NYK. The vessel was built at Namura’s Imari facility in Saga Prefecture and is designed to carry major bulk commodities such as iron ore and coal. Reports note that this delivery is one of several large bulkers recently completed by the yard for leading Japanese shipping lines, illustrating continued activity in the domestic shipbuilding sector.
