On September 13–14, 2026, Korean shipbuilders HD Hyundai, Hanwha Ocean and Samsung Heavy Industries announced their participation in the Gastech 2026 exhibition in Bangkok, where they are presenting advanced technology packages aimed at maritime digitalization and automation. HD Hyundai is highlighting a new LNG carrier architecture with a three‑tank cargo system paired with integrated digital control, alongside AI‑driven autonomy and ship‑wide digital management solutions. Hanwha Ocean is, for the first time, introducing its 60 MW Floating Data Center concept to the global market, targeting rapidly growing demand for data processing capacity in the age of artificial intelligence.
