An Executive Certificate in Maritime Resilience & Human Performance has been launched in India, focusing on seafarer resilience, wellbeing, leadership and the human element, signalling a strategic shift toward crew welfare and human‑factor training in maritime operations.
In August 2026, India introduced a new Executive Certificate in Maritime Resilience & Human Performance, presented as a flagship training programme for maritime professionals on resilience, wellbeing, leadership and human performance. The inauguration on August 15 was led by Director General of Maritime Administration Shyam Jagannathan, who highlighted that the course targets the human element in shipping and aims to strengthen seafarers’ ability to cope with demanding conditions at sea. Developed with input from sector experts, the programme is designed for active seafarers and shore‑based managers responsible for crew management and operational safety.
