On March 14, 2026, the dock at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding was filled with Yangtze River water to undock the Adora Flora City, China's second fully domestically built large cruise ship. This milestone came eight months earlier than the first ship, Adora Magic City, delivered in 2023. The new vessel is larger with greater passenger capacity, and its interiors are significantly more advanced. Engineers now use tablets instead of paper blueprints for visualizing construction steps and material details.
