Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping has taken delivery of three LNG dual-fuel Newcastlemax bulk carriers from China’s Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding, part of CSSC. The vessels Mount Victoria, Mount Yulong and Mount Wuyi were handed over around five months ahead of schedule and form part of a 14-ship series, expanding EPS’s modern, lower-emission dry bulk fleet.
Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has expanded its dry bulk fleet with the delivery of three LNG dual-fuel Newcastlemax bulk carriers from Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry in China. The vessels, named Mount Victoria, Mount Yulong and Mount Wuyi, are the third, fourth and fifth units in a 14-ship series ordered by EPS at the CSSC-affiliated yard. According to company statements, all three ships were delivered roughly five months earlier than the contracted delivery dates, demonstrating the yard’s ability to execute large and technically advanced projects ahead of schedule.
